I am currently waiting on a new Warmoth order and was tossing an idea around of AM for the new axe, but I have ceramic pickups in all of my other guitars, and then I thought about this idea...
What are anyone's thoughts on this one?

Hi there!
Sorry for bringing such an old thread from the dead, but this is the exact same idea on my mind at the moment. I wanna pair an Aftermath neck on the bridge spot and a VHII neck on the neck.
I was wondering if anybody has ever tried something like that with the Aftermath neck.
To the OP, did you ever go through with your idea?

Hi,
There is nothing stopping you from doing that of course but needless to say it's not something we would recommend as it was totally designed around the neck position on a guitar. If you go ahead with it though please do let us know how you get on with it!

Hi Chris!
Actually this particular Aftermath neck is on its way to you as we speak! Hehehe
I wanna get some black cover on it to match the VHII.
I think it will work great for what I have in mind. I have an Aftermath set on one of my metal guitars and I thought the neck was great tonally but a little bit too strong and intense for clean parts. I use it in parallel mostly.
So I figured it should be great on the bridge of a baritone 7 string mahogany neckthrough guitar aimed for modern rock and jazz fusion. I imagine I will be in the Black Dog ballpark.
I will definitely let you guys know how it goes!

Oh please do. I love these oddball experiments. One way or another good info comes out of them. =)
