Going to have a look at an MIJ 2002 model Tokai LS 70 Les Paul tonight anybody any views opinions on these guitars

+1. It should be a great guitar, I still kick myself for missing out on a Tokai SG.... hope that guitar works for you.

Going against the grain I tried a lower end MIJ Tokai recently and it was nice enough but it just didn't have the proper LP vibe. It fact I tried a few in Richtone music and they were all the same, nice but dull.

Give it a try. They are great guitars for the money.

I bought a cheap Tokai LP a few weeks ago. It's very good value for the money. Beats the Epi LPs IMO.

No, LS80 I think. Definitely the Japanese one.
