I'm looking for a Bare Knuckle set that's very similar. I haven't actually played the Dimarzios, but I've heard the bridge is tight and the neck is very smooth for liquid leads. I play metalcore music, but I also play a lot of other stuff so I'm looking for a versatile set. The reason I don't want to go straight for the Dimarzios is for the reason that all BK player will probably already know. After research I'm thinking a Cermaic Nailbomb bridge with Cold Sweat neck. What are your opinions etc. A lot of people have also suggested the Aftermath set, and as great as it sounds since it has tight playing, I would prefer something a little bit organic to make my playing stand out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike :D

I would recommend trying those pickups first before you decide on something similar. I tried that set out on 2 of my guitars and I did not like them at all. Mostly the crunch lab I didnt like, found it didnt have a very good bass and mid response and sounded flat overall. The liquifire was pretty decent though, replaced a SD jazz and found it to be very smooth. Im sure youre having the same problem as me trying to decide on your first BKP set!!

I would say Aftermath/Painkiller, with the Coldsweat neck.
The crunchlab is meant to be really, well, crunchy... It's not meant to be that fat either.
However, the nailbomb is probably the most versatile, and so if you are looking for an organic tone, I may have to agree with you.
Definately CS neck tho; it is a very fluid pickup.

Would the coldsweat go with the Aftermath bridge though? I know it goes well with the ceramic nailbomb

This is interesting for me too. Not that I could aford another BK set any time soon, but I have a 7string with these PUs and I like them, they are great. But when I compare them to my BKs, they are just missing something, especially the LQ where a certain livelyness is missing. I donīt wanne get rid of itīs hifi qualitys, but it just doenīt sing the way I want it. The CL...i just want more more more.
From what I guess it would be kinda Cold Sweat neck + A-Bomb bridge for me.

Should work fine. Coldsweat is a very good neckpickup if you like ceramics.

The Cold Sweat neck pickup is Alnico?

Sorry, yes, it's alnico V. Though it was ceramic too. It reckoned to be great for modern rock styles. Fluid tones.
