Title: Spacing question
Post by: Paulocaster on May 01, 2011, 01:47:22 AM
I'm ready to pull the trigger on a set of BKP. I used to use a lot of Dimarzios, which are spaced a bit narrower. For the bridge pickup on a Gibson Les Paul, one needed an F Spaced pickup. I am wondering is something similar would be needed in the case of BKPs going in a Les Paul. While the rule of thumb is 50mm/regular spacing for LPs, I'm hesitating given the Dimarzio problem. Those of you who have a BKP in the bridge position of your LP, did you go with 50mm or 53mm spacing and how do the poles line up with the strings?

Thanks.

The normal spacing for a LP is 50mm, my LP has a 53mm bridge pup and it is spaced OK.
