Hey,
Im looking to buy a cab off ebay, the seller lives in Scotland so collection is out of the question. I have started talking to him the main problem we have is to find a box to fit the cab in. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how i should go about trying to get it ready to be able to send it through a special delivery company.
Secondly could anybody recommend any companies i should look into for delivering such a large object. It is gonna weigh around 50kg or so.
Any help would be much appreciated.

a cab wont break in transit...
get something hard (thin sheet of wood mabye or some layers of cardboard) that fits over all 4 speakers to prevent them from being punctured, and fix that securley in place with some tape...
get a layer of bubble wrap around the cab (probably optional)...
make an outer shell\box out of smaller boxes to fit over the amp
use LOTS of tape on it 8)
get a home pickip from a courier, and send it insured for what its worth
shouldnt be a problem.
cabs are hard wearing so as long as the speakers are protected and theres some 'anti scuffing' outer shell in place it will be fine ;)

I had a thread on a similar thing:

I was the seller in that scenario. As it happened though, the winner lived down the road so I didn't need to post, but there is some good advice in there (Chrisola again  )

I had my atomic amp delivered by courier, I got it via the net, it weighed about 30kg and is the size of a 2x12 (although it's only a a 1x12).
It was in the original box which was just thick card with the polystyrene bits to hold it in place and it got here in one bit, it was insured of course.
It cost either £10 or £15, can't remember exactly, but it was delivered by business post I think..
