My Custom Build is nearing completion I just need help decided which BKP's are for me!
The guitar is 24 3/4 scale, 24 frets, mahogany body with maple neck/rosewood fretboard.
I play mostly rock, progressive rock, metal, heavy metal, neoclassical, etc..
I was contemplating putting a Cold Sweat in the neck position and a Nailbomb in the bridge.
Of course all of your opinions are appreciated and welcomed, Rock on! :D

Welcome! That would be a great set. Check out some NB-clips, bec not everybody likes the agressiveness in the uppermids and topend-sizzle. In the playerssection you find some clips by forummember Nolly. comparing the Nailbomb with the Aftermath. I would have a look at the Holy Diver too, which is not as hot as the NB and not as agressive too, but still a very good pu for Petrrucci-tones etc. It has huge mids and more rounded highs then the NB.

Thanks for the reply, you make a good point, so good actually that im going to go watch those vids right now :)

Two things to bear in mind: has your guitar a maple top or plain mahogany and has it a setneck or bolt-on? These things all influence the sound. The Holy Diver is quite warm, but with the maple neck it should not be overwarm.

I found the Holydiver to be far more versatile than the Nailbomb and ideal for what you're after but then I'm one of those people who really didn't get on with its tight, hairy aggressiveness. You may be different.
