Title: Short Heavy metal song called "Mess" Using the Painkiller
Post by: ethan_hanus on May 20, 2011, 07:20:37 PM
So, I just got a SM-58 and a mic amp and I've been working on my recordings and mic placement, so I thought I would post this here for you guys so you could hear what a Painkiller in a Squier Affinity Strat sounds like through a Valveking 112 with a WGS V-30 speaker. There is no compression on the track other than what converting to MP3 does to it.

It's still in the rough draft stages, so please excuse my rough double tracking(it's not too bad though)

Man, you should have upped this on YouTube as a demo for WGS. Last month's giveaway was based on demos instead of the usual drawing. Good sounds, especially for initial experimentation, sir. =)

Aw man, that sucks, I just got all this stuff on Wednesday, so it wouldn't of mattered. Maybe next time. Thanks man, I think the mic position is working rather well considering where it's placed. It's facing the center of the cone at a 45 degree angle placed at the center of the cab about an inch and a half away from the grill.
