Post by: adamj on May 20, 2011, 09:30:39 PM
first off let me apologise for shamelessly posting this link. I decided to try and learn this a few days ago and in the space of a few hours got quite comfortable with it, and im really proud so thought id see what you guys made of it.

its not got BKP's in it, which is why the off topic section might be the right place. I used my Epi LP custom, actually i think its my first recording with it, and quite a surprisingly different tone from my BKP'd Ibby. Enjoy folks.

Hey I liked it. I thought your tone had a nice hollowness to it. Was that just the standard Alnico Classic with that?

yeah those were the standard pickups, im thinking of replacing them with rebel yells in the future when i can afford it.

I just got my guitar back from the luthier today to get all the frets reglued in place and it plays very nicely now. Although i think iv worn down the strings already  8)

Bit 80's tone wise for me, but good job on the tune itself!

i quite like this tone. And overall excellent playing.

I think a  MQ in the neck would really suit your playing for these kinda leads

nice playing, how is this recorded, direct? it sounds like it has quite a heavy detune or chorus effect.

sorry guys been away from my computer for a while.

It was recorded via pod 2 direct to a usb soundcard. The backing track was from guitarbt.com. Funny enough the setting i was using was on full drive for the 2nd half. The original has a lot of chorus and wah, i think i overdid it a bit with the chorus, which was a VST (khaeugeuguer classic or something :) )
thanks for the feedback folks!
