Title: Replica 60s Spec Marshall 4x12 Cab

Hey folks,

Does anyone know of a company in the UK or EU that builds replicas of 60s Marshall cabinets?

I've searched the web & the only ones I've come across are located in the US - Metropoulos  & Scumback - & the shipping charges are going to be astronomical.

From the Scumback site, this is what I'm after  - 4x12 "69 Spec" Straight Extension Cabinet

It's €799 unloaded or $1399 loaded. I'd love to get it loaded with a mixed set of M75 & H75 speakers but I'd be looking at around $2000 + tax & customs charges, which seems like a  ridiculous amount to me!

I'd settle for some Celestian Heritage Greenbacks if I could find a better deal on a cab.

There is a German company, they buy new cabs and bring them to vintage specs.

I'd just get an old one, they are cheaper and the real deal.

When you say they buy new ones; they buy new Marshall cabs & "relic" them?

I'm looking for a cab made with 5/8" baltic birch, as the originals were.

Ideally I would just buy an old one but I've been looking for about six months & '78 is the oldest I've found, & that was badly damaged. The good ones don't seem to pop up that often, or else I'm looking in the wrong places. Any recommendations?

Hey but YOU are in the UK, right? That's the mother of all things Marshall, so it should be much easier to find a good cab I suppose?

maybe speak with Zilla cabs - they're likely to be able to make you one even if they don't offer one as a 'stock' item.

I'm in Ireland, so it's not that easy. Cabs on ebay in the UK are usually collection only.

I've checked with Zilla; they said they won't build replicas.

Do you know of any other cab builders?
