Title: The Rev's rig
Post by: shobet on June 09, 2011, 09:19:42 AM
Interesting vid for you ZZ Top fans out there!

Strings 7 - 38, Jesus I'd be breaking strings with each strum! And no treble...

It's really fascinating to me that there's a mahoosive rig with all the bells and whistles for the very high gain stuff and then a simple Mojave head for the more vintage flavoured tone. I also found the EQing of each guitar to get as close to Pearly as possible interesting. Thanks for sharing the video.

Very cool.

I'd break those strings at first touch, though. Nice Bolin/Gretsch pr0n.

Great find - cheers Shobet!

Love the Pearly's, plus he uses the RJM RG-16 switcher that I do.  Nice choice Rev  8)

On the '95 tour used 7-8 '58/'59 Les Pauls and the fur guitar?  Wow!  :o
