Hi
So since my purchase is coming closer, I thought now would be a more appropriate time to start asking again. Last time I asked about Tele pickups, many said get a Flat 52 set. I liked the sound of that, especially the stratty neck sound, but I thought I may want some extra oomph in the bridge. So would a Flat 50 bridge go well with a Flat 52 neck?
Also I've read on some oter threads that the Flat 50 can reproduce some nice Strat sounds too?
Also I've decided that I'm goingto get an Abraxas Bridge and a Black Dog neck, but I have still to decide on the middle pickup. Would an Irish Tour be a good choice?
The Tele is alder with a full maple neck and fretboard and the Superstrat/Ibbie is Basswood
In summation:
a) Is a Flat 50 set like a more powerful Flat 52 set? Tonality?
b) Single coil middle pickup in between two vintage voiced Humbuckers?

1. the Flat50 has a higher dc-resistance then the 52-bridge. It will have more oomphh, but also has a different eq with more bass and less treble. For a vintage telesound I would prefer the 52-bridge, which has enough balls for rock and seems to me more versatile. Work with the toneknob for darker overdriven sounds. If you choose for the Flat 50 I would take a set and not pick the 52 neck-pu. The in between sound will be dominated (a tad too much) by the bridgepu. That's just my idea. Ask the BKP-team for advice on this one.
2. The IT is a good choiche as a middle pu. A Slowhand would provide a bit more mids.
