Title: Going to London
Post by: Kimling86 on June 13, 2011, 11:31:39 PM
So, I'm going to London for five weeks this summer.
What guitar stores do I need to visit? I don't want to get b*mf*cked in Denmark Street, so where do I go?

Check out Coda Music. They've got two stores just outside London in Stevenage and Luton I think. Big stores which do a lot of business so their prices are good. I've been a couple of times and was left largely alone to try out loads of interesting guitars.

On Denmark Street both "Vintage and Rare" and "Wunjo" are good shops. What used to be Music Ground has suddenly vanished so that's a recent change. I think Hanks are moving there. The departure of Music Ground is a bit of a shame as though I woudn't buy anything from them, I liked looking at their selection of over-priced European 1960s eccentrica. Most of the other stores are a bit ho-hum and very expensive.

Would agree with all that. Recently brought a guitar from Angel music, which had some fun stuff in stock.
