Title: Sinner neck and Nailbomb bridge in hard ash tele?
Post by: ronjhoser on June 22, 2011, 04:36:24 PM
Building up my hard ash Fender J5 tele with a mahogany neck with ebony board.  Thinking of doing the nailbomb bridge and sinner neck.  Got the nailbomb in my mahogany neck through tele right now and it's a bit too thick for my taste.  Might bump it over to the ash body and start over on the mahogany.

Important detail:  Looking for versatile, fairly organic metal/rock tones. Versatile meaning from Early VH/ZZ Top up to Pantera/Lamb of God/Machine Head/Throwdown territory.

And... wicked artificial pinch harmonics are a must!

Try the Holy Diver bridge with the Trilogy neck.  I've got an HSS strat with that and it is great for rock and excels at 80's superstrat sounds!  Mine is a swamp ash body with maple/ebony neck, so will be brighter than your tele I think.

From the clips that I have heard, I am not sure that the Holy Diver has as much bite/articulation as I am looking for.  The Nailbomb has it, but isn't getting me the artificial harmonics to the degree that I would like in my mahogany tele.
