I've finally come to the conclusion that my Angelus needs some BKs in it.
Body is made of a maple center with mahogany wings and a set maple neck with ebony fretboard,
tuned to C standard with gauge 12-60 and predominantly used for death metal in the veins of Bloodbath and the good old Swedish Gothenburg bands.
The Angelus' dry acoustic sound is dark to even sounding, surely not overly bright.
For the neck I got a Cold Sweat (thanks to my man Ian)
From the bridge I don't expect much versatility or sweet cleans but all-out metal.
Pickup should have rather lean low end to keep the sound focused and clear
and an agressive and raw mid texture (figuratively rather rip like a buzz saw than cut like a scalpel)
and just not too bright highs, just enough to compensate for the thick strings.
Your help is greatly appreciated...
