Title: Stacked heal...can I put a strap pin there
Post by: sgmypod on June 25, 2011, 03:57:43 PM
...this is on my washburn tb-300 sounds great, playes great but sits very flat on a strap(no jokes please) doesn't divebomb so isnt neck heavy. But I prefer it if it was more arse heavy, so want to move pin to back heal.

So you want to put it on the back of the heel, like an SG?

I don't think there'd be any problem.  The only possible danger is hitting the trussrod but on most guitars it doesn't seem to extend that far (or maybe it does, but the body is thick enough that the screw doesn't reach the trussrod)

My Washburn has a similar shaped heel, but I'm leaving the strap button where it is!  :)

when i saw this thread i pictured some '70's glam rock guitar with a platform boot built in to it! :)
