Title: Anyone had experiences with Legra Custom Guitars?

Was thinking of getting a custom Legra guitar made and wanted to know how they are. I'll be getting a bolt on so I'd also like to know how the 6-bolt neck works for people and the upper fret access

yeah mdv has a couple, so he'll have more up to date experiences than me. I have one, it's very nice indeed. chrisola had one too but i'm not sure if he posts here any more.

oh and that dude with the matt bellamy style one also has one... can't remember his name off-hand :oops:

Captain Desslock.  Don't think he's posted for a while.

And there was Woogie, who had a couple of left-handed Jake E Lee hardtail Strats - a Wez V and a Legra.  Again hasn't posted for ages.

Yep, got two legras. Pure awesomeness.

Not much point me descibing exactly why I like those guitar so much because they were made for me and my tastes, save that the build and material quality is as good as it gets.

One of mine has the 6 SPAX screw bolt on. Extremely good vibration transmission and its shaped so you can reach any part of the fretboard comfortably. There are no issues there.

Most important thing is that Bob Johnson is great to work with; makes every effort to get you the guitar thats right for you, sounds and plays like you want it to. Very talented and knowledgable man.

Full unreserved recommendation from me.

bob always seems a nice fella, and does post here occasionally too.  if in doubt, talk to him a bit on the phone.  he seems to know what he likes and what works for his way of building

I remember MDVs Legra from when we met.
Very good job on the build quality and very easy to play

Bob hasn't made me a guitar, but he's local to me and he's worked on my Tele before - did a cracking job, plays like a dream now.

And yep - a decent guy.  And occasional forumite.
