I'm having a custom extended scale 7 string made for me by Strictly 7, and I'm not sure which Bare Knuckle to put in it.
From all of the sound clips I've heard I seem to consistently prefer the Nailbomb, but most of the soundclips are from a guitar with a mahogany body, and my guitar will have an Ash body with a bolt on maple neck, so I'm not sure if this would mean I should go for something else. I like lots of attack and a nice, gnarly midrange. Nothing too bassy, but not really Djenty, either. It's gotta have some balls!
I reamped all of Nolly's DI tracks that he posted and did a sort of blind taste test where I ranked them from favorite to least favorite without being able to see the names of the pickups. After rating them I revealed the names and it turns out the Nailbomb was my favorite, and the Cold Sweat and Miracle Man were pretty much in a tie for second place. But again these were in a mahogany body guitar tuned higher than what I tune to (A#).
I've played EMG's for years, and I like the response and tightness they provide, I'm just tired of their flat tone. I want something with more character, which is why I want to try BKP.

Anybody? I've been looking for guidance on this issue for weeks. Sent two emails to Bare Knuckle with no response. I've seen a couple threads where the Holy Diver is recommended for ash. Should I go with that one?

Do what your gut tells you. If you want a bit more compression, then go for the Ceramic Nailbomb.
I know that both Sikth & keith merrow used them, and gained monstrous tones from the Abomb.

Thanks man! That might be all the motivation I need to go ahead and pull the trigger on the Ceramic Nailbomb, as I was sort of leaning toward that already.
I'm assuming the Abomb is another name for Alnico Nailbomb?

Yes. Common slang in here is A for alnico C for ceramic. roman numbers for which magnet type
Eg. A Iv Mule is an Alnico 4 Mule..
