Iīm tkinking of buying two bareknucles, but i dont know which ones! My guitar style es very powerful, full of distorsion and palm mutes, like arch enemy, bodom, and septic flesh and I wonder which pickups its better for me! My basic set up is marshall jvm OD2 red mode ( the highest distorsion of the amp ) , ts9dx modified by robert keeley, and a bbe sonic maximizer. My guitars are mensinger arcadia 7 string , and dean razorback explosion. I want to change the emg pickups from the arcadia, I love my dean :D.

I'd say either a Miracle Man, Aftermath or for a bit of versatility The Ceramic Nailbomb. The reason I chose these is because they have a high treble response which is something that you need in a Les Paul guitar. If I had to choose just one of the pickups, I'd go for the Aftermath. It has a higher mid frequency so you solos will stand out soo much better, and being a COB fan, I know that style requires a lot lead work interwined with the rhythm work: 'We're not gonna fall' is a good example. What you thinking for a neck p/u btw?

Sorry dint mean 'Les Paul' guitar. I meant one with the same woods as a Les Paul. A mahogony body/neck combo really needs that extra treble

I was thinking in puttin in it a warpig alnico. I think the combination with other bk can be awesome ! what do you think? ah, a little question, the fingerboard is made of rosewood, not mohagany!

If the guitar and neck are mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, I would stay as far away from a Warpig as possible. I originally suggested this to Tim from Bare Knuckle and he told me the exact same thing. The bass frequency the pickup provides is just too much for a mahogany guitar. It's designed for light bolt-on guitars that require a fuller tone and a mahogany guitar is the exact opposite. With your kind of guitar, it will give your sound a very bassy doom vibe. You want something to balance the frequency and as I recommended before, the Aftermath will do this perfectly. It provides the right amount of bass to give your chuggs/riffs depth and the high treble it provides will be perfect to add a bit more higher frequencies, since mahogany guitars are quite dark sounding. The added bonus with the Aftermath is that it has boosted mids compared to say, the scooped EQ of the Painkiller. This boost makes your solos and leads sound a lot more fuller; it really gives your sound some weight. But don't worry, even with this slight mid boost, your riffs will still regain the vibe of a scooped tone.
Bit of an essay but I hope it helps. It's really hard to explain the sound of it, the way I'm wanting to lol.
Also for your music, a Ceramic pickup is the way forward

The strings vibrate more at the neck so it picks up more sound and a higher DC in the neck will really unbalance the pickups. What kinda music do you play on the neck?

ummm, well, lelīs see...I usually play things like satriani, vinnie moore, andy timmons...that stuff...and with the clean mode...I usually play ballads like dust in the wind by kansas, nothing else matters, sleep walk...what pick up woould you recommend me? A friend of mine has told me that warpig has a great clean tone...maybe the riff raff??

Yeah the Warpig is great and really versatile if you have a very bright sounding guitar. At first I recommended you the Aftermath because that plays COB/Arch Enemy style metal really well. But if you want to play stuff like Satriani, Timmons, etc. I'd go with the Nailbomb bridge.
Regarding Ceramic or Alnico, if you was using the pickup in a guitar specially for this music and you was going to use another guitar for metal: I'd get Aftermath in one and the Alnico Nailbomb in the other. The alnico provides a better soloing tone. If you were only getting a single set to use in the guitar to cover both styles, I'd get the Ceramic Nailbomb; not only is it able to get a really good tone for metal (I have one and I can play Children of Bodom style music easily) you can also lower the gain, fiddle about with ya EQ, and really get a nice singing lead tone from it capable of playing Satch and Timmons.
Regarding neck pickup it really boils down to 2 IMHO. If you want the liquid sound of John Petrucci and a pickup that plays all types of techniques in metal fluently (sweeps, fast legato and picking): get a Cold Sweat neck. If you want to go for a bit more of a Satriani ballad type tone which really sings: go for a Nailbomb neck. The Nailbomb neck is also perfectly capable of playing really heavy styles of metal when soloing as well, the Cold Sweat just pulls it off in a classier fashion.
Many people will recommend lower DC pickups for the neck for Satriani, but if you're using it for metal as well, a neck pickup from the contemporary range will give you a great balance.

Over all, my priority is metal, not soloist music...I like that tone and sound but aproximately 80% of my time, I`m playing arch enemy or samael songs...the primary pickup its, overall, the bridge pickup to get evil riffs :P , the second one has to fit well with the bridge !

I'd go straight with the Aftermath Calibrated Set. The neck pickup is great! If you wanted a more versatile set thats still capable of playing really fast and heavy music, the Ceramic Nailbomb/Cold Sweat Combo would be my choice. I was actually torn so much between these 2 pickups that I actually bought a new Ibanez S series and put the Nailbomb/Cold Sweat in that n the Aftermaths in my Les Paul. Go for the Aftermaths tho.

oh my good! I have a great mindstorm ! hehehe...I prefer the aound of the memento mori ...But i see a video with caparison horus ( moghany ) and its really increidible ! whats your opinion? ( with warpigs )

Umm Ive been thinking...maybe warpigs alnico + cold sweat in the seven string guitar for very dark stuff live messhuggah , peryphery, animal as leaders an so on......
...and in the dean razorback nailbomb for progresive , hard rock and megadeth tone + ????

It really is a hard one to answer. A mahogony neck on a mahogony body usually makes it a lot darker. For metal I'd stick with Ceramics tbh, it tightens up your sound. You're probably best off messaging Tim through the support section of the site. No-one knows his pickups better than him.

Miracle Man could be worth a look as well; still waiting to try mine in an SG, but it seems to be the usual recomendation for COB and the Holy Diver is supposed to do a good Arch Enemy.

Go for Aftermath mate...You wonīt be disapointed...I have MM and AM both in all mahagony/rosewood guitars....All what I can say AM is more friendly with 5150 type amp....Itīs chunky,troathy,juicy and clear in every aspects....You will enjoy palm mutes like never before...
