Hello! :)
I'm working on my new guitar right now - HS telecaster with mahogany body, maple bolt-on neck and stratlike tremolo. Now I'm looking for some cool pickups and one friend of mine recommended me BKP. The sound clips look (sound :-P) pretty cool, but I'm not really sure which combination of pickups to choose, as there is no HS set (or am I just blind and missed it? :-O). I want neck single coil for clean sounds and solos and bridge humbucker for some hard rock (now I have DiMarzio Tone Zone and I really like it, so something similar, just better, would be amazing!). It's really hard to describe the sound I want so it may help to tell you what music I like :-) ==> 3 Doors Down, Alter Bridge, A7X, Beatles, Birds of Tokyo, Clash, Emptyself, Five for Fighting, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer, Led Zeppelin, Maybeshewill, Mike Oldfield, Offspring, Papa Roach, Placebo, Radiohead, Shihad, Shinedown, Stonesour.
I know, hell of completely different sounds :-D I hope you can help me somehow with my problem :-)

Hi,
As regards a H-S combination you can orientate yourself by the suggested HSS combinations, i.e. select a humbucker and check which single coils are recommended by BKP to go with them.
For the bridge humbucker I recommend the Alnico Nailbomb even though it will sound nothing like the Tone Zone. It's not that I am anti DiMarzio - I like the Area Strat models and the Air Norton and Bluesbucker models - but I found the Tone Zone to be too dark and buzzy for my liking. None of the BKPs I tried were buzzy sounding in the least.
Cheers Stephan
