I'm building a really nice superstrat with these specs. Alder body. Maple top. All maple neck. Fixed bridge. Obviously it's going to be a very snappy guitar with a fair amount of highs.
I need some humbuckers to give it a bit of balance. I need something with enough bass and mid grunt to keep the guitar from sounding harsh.
I'm playing everything from Zeppelin to modern rock. There might be a little 80's metal thrown in there too.
I've been looking at the Abraxas and Holydiver but besides those I'm lost.

I would also consider the Crawlers. A bit less output than Holydiver but warmer than Abraxas.
Cheers Stephan

+1 on the crawlers.

+1 for the holydiver calibrated set, that baby will sing!

If it helps any, I'm really looking for the BKP version of an Air Zone. I really like that pickup.

That sounds like the Holy Diver, but I have the Crawler in a swampash customstrat and it's very balanced and can growl in the best way. I think it's a bit warmer then the HD, but can show teeth with the right amp. Handles serious gain (and also pedals) very well.

Warpigs, although the output level may not be for everyone, saves money on booster batteries though ;)
