I've had my BKP Painkiller for a little over a year and a half now, and I love the thing, best pickup I've ever owned, but I've noticed(don't know if it's just my amp) that the pickup tends to sound the best in any drop tuning and sounds meh in E standard. It doesn't have that low end growl in E standard. I can get a nice rock tone in E standard, but nothing metal, but the cleans are the best in E standard... The best tuning I've found for this pickup by far is Drop C, gives it a nice bite.
Am I just weird/ have a cr@ppy amp, or has anyone else experienced this with the Painkiller?

What gauge strings are you using? And what tuning you using these strings?

I've experienced it with every guitar, ever. I don't tune above C#.
Who decided E was so great, anyway?

The painkiller first shines below C. Thats why alot of people dont like it. Because they're pussies which are afraid of thick strings xD
Im dead serious, higher than C and it sucks bawls

I have a guitar with a PKs and I tune it to B standard. I have to agree, it sounds sweet!
