Tim, don't know how you do it but my Black Beauty 3 pup is ON FIRE with these Emeralds...  I was a bit worried the bass was going to be too stifled, not a f'n chance.  As for the neck position, soooooooooooooooo rich and full.  The bridge?  Darn right RUDE sounding, and that's a good thing.

Still working on height and set up, once done, clips to follow.

Awesome work mate!  Seriously, best pups on the planet  :D

I did a bit of a side by side comparo...  The BDs are definitely more bassy.  The Emeralds are more vintagey sounding with this glass to them...

Gorgeous stuff.

Good to hear you like these pickups so much. Makes me even more confident in my choice of a set of Emeralds for a Les Paul :)

Yes, they're very fine pups to say the least...  They seem 'more refined' in their tone than, say, the RRs or the BDs.  Owning both of these latter two, I'm certainly not dissing them for their inherent sonic qualities.  But the Emeralds are glassy and smooth, and when dug into, they've got a real nice balanced 'bite' to them.  The neck pup is super powerful, thick, rich and smooth with a lot of articulation...sensitive yet BIG.  Melding the middle and bridge pups has resulted in my new rhythm zone for this particular 3 pup axe.  It's got the thickness and bite all in one.  As for the bridge alone, it's sharp - ringing - edgy - and when really pulled hard, nice and loaded with those bubbling overtones...

Clips coming, just been swamped.

You describe it so yummy, that I'm tempted to get me a LP and order some Emeralds.
