Hello all
i fitted some BK Miracle man (zebra at the bridge and black at the neck)
to my gibson les paul and i am blowen away at how good these pick ups really are, not only do they have a great tone for distortion, but a really nice tone for the cleans. (gives me a smooth, heavy clean tone, which i really like.)
i did a short recording to show the tone of the pick ups.

i didnt really use a amp, i used a program called Line 6 riff tracker, and used the amp models, cabs and effects. the drums also came from riff tracker. i have yet to really get the most out of this software, this software in the right hands can really make some pro sounding music.

i did a short clip on the clean channel with a mean solo at the end :evil: (i felt the solo could of gone better but bare in mind its 1:45 in the morning :lol: )

Great playing there. That's a catchy riff you have. And the pickups sound cool, of course.

I made a full song using the pick ups, I made the song much more darker then any of the other clips, and used a wah for the solo.
i havent decided on a name for it but that will come soon.

awesome clips! (all 3!)- is there any way you could edit your original post or something to put all the clips in it? I only noticed you had done new ones now when i popped into this thread again! It'd make it easier for people to see- most people just post a clip in their first post, you see.
Great clips, though, I really dig it! And I'm really digging your playing too, it's great! You've really got the vibe of the playing style that suits the pickup, IMO.
Are you using the neck pickup for the cleans in the "clean" clip?

That solo at the end of the clean clip was FANTASTIC.

i was using both the pick ups at the time (pick up switch in the middle), i think, as it was a week since i did the recording :lol:
about the solo in the clean clip, it was 1:45 in the morning when i did it so to me it didnt sound like it was my best. but i'm really picky about my playing and i dont finish it till i'm happy with it. (i need to get a second opinon till i release it :lol: )
about the thread i'll have a look into putting 3 songs in, but i dont think i can do that, i'll probs edit it and say there is 3 songs in the thread.

i'm just wondering about the cleans in the MM- i'm gassing after a seet, but i want the cleans to be at least "decent"
going by that (in the middle even!) they sounded good enough, i think!

i found the cleans on the gibson burst buckers to have too much bass on the neck pick up, but on the BK MM they seem to be better for cleans then the gibson burst buckers (this is just my prefrence) the notes seem to be more defined on both pick ups, but on distortion these pick ups just kick ass. if i could rate these pick ups out of 10 i would give them 20 :D
they are just perfect.

diggin that tone man.. i use a calibrated set of MM's myself I absolutly love them it's just a shame they're in a bag of cr@p axe at the moment but im dropping them into a nice new guitar this thursday! yummy!

Bumped, but i had to comment on this, amazing player here and i love your tone, this might have made my decision up as to what pickups to get.

Fabulous stuff, son! My only complaint could be due to my laptop, but the solo didn't have a consistant volume, so parts fell to the back when it all should've been "up and at 'em". Impressive! 8)

i guess i will post one more short solo clip.
i am playing over a clean backing track and with a over driven tone for the solo.
i added a bit more feel for the solo just to go with the backing track.
