I have finally talked my dad around to letting me get my mits on his Washburn (another wing series)
He assures me it is all original right down to the "Washburn Power Sustain" pickups which look and sound to be rebranded DiMarzio super distortions.
It's a mahogany neck through with a string through bridge, although the bridge appears to be mounted slightly skewed and has a missing height screw in the D saddle which is propped up with paper.
With all the mahogany and the "DiMarzios", it is a very muddy sounding guitar and needs a heavily scooped EQ to sound decent
The finish is original red, although I've never seen it on other Washburns :?
The neck plays very well but some of the hardware looks to be very cheap, the neck pickup isn't lined up exactly to the strings, but it just looks like the mounting ring is off centre and both rings are cracked and warped
I plan on Gently restoring the guitar while keeping it as original as possible (new relocated pickup rings and moved bridge)
Maybe some BKPs?
Edit: sorry about image size, can't do anything now

I've always liked the look of those Wing Series guitars, but not sure that red is the most attractive of the finishes.
Good catch though, I'm sure it deserves a bit of TLC to get it back up to peak performance. :)

That's a cool guitar. I like red with white or cream bindings and covers. Deserves an upgrade. Maybe RiffRaffs to give it 'balls with chime'.

Yeah I like it too. A nice clean up and it'll look a treat.
