A friend of mine is considering buying one. Are they good, bad or so so.
I said I would ask you guys on the forum to try and get some sound advice.
Cheers

I've heard the heads are good, the combo's are so-so. I guess the combos speaker isnt really suited for the amp maybe?
-
They are supposed to be much better than the TSL series. I'd say go for it.
-
The heads are supposed to be excellent, don't know about the combos though.
Get the head and a 4x12 :D

They're not as bad as some tone 'gurus' like to make out, but you can get better heads for the price. if you want to know what your typical DSL sounds like listen to The Used. See? not bad not great... I'd go for an older Marshall if yu want the Marshall sound, or something else if yu want something more modern. ENGL thunder heads can't be much more than that dsl50?

The 50 watt DSL is a great amp, good clean and great crunch/high gain. Its just a shame you cannot footswitch between the crunch/high gain,it has to be one or the other.
-
There supposed to be one of the best modern heads they've made, so I'm told.

Great amp! I had the 100W DSL head.
