I'm wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to check out the George Lynch signature Celestion G12-50GL speakers? I'm not really after Lynch's tone at all but the write-up makes them sound like a perfect mix of the Greenback and Vintage 30..

the way Lynch describes them is that they give a tone somewhere between a Fane and an old Greenback (he was mixing speakers in his cabs and wanted one speaker with the attributes of both).
-
Yeah, that's what I've read. I can't seem to find any user reviews or even comments though, all I've found are rehashings of the Celestion blurb and Lynch's description of what he was after!
-
looking at the frequency response charts, the Lynch speaker looks like it'll be more scooped than a G12M with more low mids and top.
-
If you're after something like that I'd look at the Eminence V12. It was Lynch's speaker before he changed to celestion. They are fantastic speakers that sound great for pretty much anything you throw at it. Incredibly tight low end too.

OUCH!!! £84.23 is the cheapest I've seen those V12s... http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=EMIERLYNCH12A#
Then again, I doubt the Lynch speakers will be under £125 each.

It's funny, I really can't seem to find anything based on user experience on these yet, maybe they are still too new.

Get in touch with BK user Jay Parmar. I would be willing to bet big money he has a set already.

I'd be surprised if Jay didnt have some.
I had a 4x12 with the eminance in - sold it to Steve - wasn't bad at all - just not practical for home use
