I have a walnut caparison horus, ebony board, floyd has a brass block. Horus has a painkiller in it now. The painkiller is to trebly for me no matter what I tune it to and lacks soul. Anybody got a walnut bodied guitar and what are you using.

I've got the MF07 model Horus HGS myself so basically the same guitar but with a maple fretboard and I have a Holy Diver in the bridge of that one. I really love it, great for everything from classic rock to modern metal. The HD's fat mids and good bass response are definitely good characteristics for the brighter walnut/maple (or ebony) combination...

I'll second the Holy Diver, should sound great in your guitar!

Holydiver! Painkillers are definitely not suited for walnut

Thanks guys. How is the tightness of the HD? My C Bomb in another heavy guitar is crisp.

I use a HD in a Les Paul tuned to Eb, and it's actually really tight, IMO. At least for an Alnico V pickup. Very articulate and detailed too.

Cool. I'll probaly try to tune the capa to C#
