I particularly liked this one...

16. Alan McGee on Coldplay
“Coldplay are the dictionary definition of corporate rock. The singer is about as weird as Phil Collins. They are career rock personified. EMI should’ve signed Otis The Aadvark instead. At least he only sucks his thumb rather than corporate c--k.”

and of course NOBODY bitches like Elton...

4. Elton John on Keith Richards
“It’s like a monkey with arthritis, trying to go onstage and look young.”

21. Paul Weller on Freddie Mercury
“He said he wanted to bring ballet to the working classes. What a cünt.”

14. Noel Gallagher on Jack White
“He looks like Zorro on doughnuts.”

Love the Robert Smith on Morrissey one...

“If Morrissey says not to eat meat, then I’ll eat meat — that’s how much I hate Morrissey.”

Some great quotes in there! The Courtney Love vs Dave Grohl ones are great!

I have always thought that Anton Newcombe is a complete tw@t - his quote confirms my thoughts about him.

Yeah that pretty much ruined the article for me. Some places you just shouldn't go.

Elton John's bit about Madonna is absolutely spot-on as well.

Was that the Clapton one? It was the highlight of the article for me, purely on the basis of how terribly tasteless it was.

Some of them were quite funny but I was uncomfortable with the Clapton one.

Yep, I was having a good laugh up until that point.

Me too. The bloke is a complete tosser as well. You can be cutting about someone without going out of your way to be intentionally hurtful.

i've had some great disses from reviewers:

Quote
With [gwEm's] crackling nerd voice and embarrassing lingo like, "easy my fellow junglists warriors", I am completely confused as to who allowed him on this track... Not to mention the rap by Counter Reset, well, if you call it rap... I want to see the host mauled by a family of tigers.

gwEm & Counter Reset are, to put it blunty, two bloody w**kers from the UK. gwEm in particular appeared to be a mixture of Johnny Rotten, Elvis Costello, and that scrawny kid you knew in high school that didn’t give a rat’s ass about gym and cared only about sneaking in a quick game of Super Mario Land whenever he found the time. About as anti-heavy metal, to the point that they go full circle and does indeed become heavy metal, as you can get, both rocked out via guitar and I believe old Atari computers, with the highlight being a rousing, and somewhat off-key, rendition of Breaking the Law.

Seems about right, birds of a feather with us on this board... nearly forgot Ben, he's an honorary Brit and definitely a total w**ker too.  :P

I've just found out who that boy slagging off Clapton actually is. His band are great, arsehole or not.

An aquaintance of mine is actually a huge, huge, giant superfan of them, and even she admits that he is pretty hard to get along with. I believe she used the danish phrase for "complete tw@t", as I recall...
