They are more available in NZ... Not saying that I'm not considering BKPs though

Of course on this forum people will favour BKP's, but I can tell you my experience with a Muy Grande/Tallboy-set wich was sitting in my MXG-swampashstrat. I replaced it with a Crawler/IT's-set. The Tallboys were ok, but don't have the articulation and depth of the IT's I think. The Muygrande has serious output. I don't know the dc-resistance, but to my ears it slammed the amp more then the Crawler. Lacked a bit of tone and depth, but the biggest problem was it was microphonic. I read some topics on this and there were more people complaining about it. Maybe they solved it by now. On the other hand I read good reviews on the BBQ. Bottomline: I'm very happy with my current BKP-set. Replacing was worth every penny.

you'd be better off asking opinions of Rio Grande pickups on their own forum (if they have one).
maybe you could ask about BKP pickups on their forum

Lol I think I have milked this forum with every possible question there is to ask about BKPs haha
Just wondering. The single coils are not much more expensive from BKP, so I may go with these. But the Humbuckers here are about 1.4 the price... Still thinking about that Abraxas + Black Dog combo though
