Title: The Battle Of The Wireless Systems
Post by: pimpmylespaul on August 30, 2011, 10:14:05 PM
Hey
I'm currently in the market for an upmarket wireless system. I am currently using a Sennheiser Freeport which is.....fine......
however i think its time i move it all up a notch.
I've been looking at 2 wireless systems in particular. number one being the Sennheiser EW 172 G, number 2 the line 6 relay G90.
Which would you go for and why? what experience have you had with either?
cheers guys

I've just started using a wireless system in the past few weeks, but notice no loss of tone with the AKG WMS40 Pro Flexx system I've got.

Yep. A brilliant system for the price, but probably not better than what you have now.
My inherent mistrust of all things Line 6 leads me to recommend the upscale Sennheiser. Or maybe one of the more expensive AKG systems?

my initial though was 'what are you hoping to achieve by upgrading'.  if the wireless is comparable to a cable straight in, I don't see the point in changing.
