Got a small amp with big possibilities and tone.
Randall RM22, 2xEL84, taking two MTS modules plus has switchable boost/2nd master per channel.
As modules I got:
1. "The Malcolm" for clean-ish duties
2. "The Judge" for dirrrrrt
It's a very nice amp and I am not surprised it sounds like a big one, just at lower volume. Not cheap but IMO worth the money for the flexibility and GAS/Module fun.

Happy NAD Hunter, It looks good! i might have to look into that as a Versatile (ie can do high gain) / low wattage solution for home and small gigs
Pics prove it happened, clips show its not just a pretty box

I am rather limited in terms of recording gear at the moment (been moving and stuff is in boxes). But I did some clip of the Malcolm. Pity the mic is farting out on the gainier bits.

For The Judge I refer to someone else's efforts, would be hard to make any better clips than that showing off that module:

Like the beer and playstation controller. Statement of intent right there :D

Congrats!
I'd love to get my hands on one of Randall's modular amps, but unfortunately I can't seem to find a dealer :(
Another brilliant clip to showcase the judge ( and the main cause of my GAS for this particular amp) :

Congrats! Looks great. I'm thinking about something lowwattage for smaller gigs. I use the Blues Junior now, but something with two channels would be nice. I'm checking out the Laboga Caiman at the moment.

+1 I thought that exact thing when i saw the post at lunchtime.
Happy NAD :D
And let me make life easier for a couple of regular forum members:
Philly Q: It's got a lot of knobs.
38th Beatle: Nice looking table.
(There you go chaps, saved you typing :))

£279!! (no module included)
Do get them to confirm that it's working though as I had one from them and had to send it back as the boost wasn't working ok.

Yes - it's the new version of Guitar Hero
Someone visits Hunter, drinks beer & picks up the controller and Hunter has to get up and start playing solos
-
Happy NAD and welcome to the wonderful world of MTS! :D

Thanks Andy!
So is this replacing one of those huge behemoth amps of yours Hunter, or is it just a new member of the family?
-
Yeah cheers Andy- you read me like a book. Nice one Hunter.

Thanks all for the nice comments. I'm really happy. This is my rig right now. Philly I am still keeping the Cornford, other than that all amps are gone. Ok I also kept the Groove Tubes Trio Preamp, like it a lot for cleans, it's very special.
But for gigging and rehearsal it's now the RM22 with a Wah, a Delay, a Boost and a Phaser.
I like it like that!
Oh and played that GTO again, oh my god this thing kicks all kinds of a$$es!!!
Edit: for ordering, I bought this from HebaSound (www.hebasound.de)

That amp looks the business!
Clips?

100B is gone. I am thinking strongly about a Shiva 20th or a Goldfinger 45. But at the moment no money may be spent on anything. Maybe one or two more MTS modules might be in the budget ;)

Where is the 'verb coming from in the vid?

There is a Providence 80s delay in the loop, and the room is quite wet (parquet floor and not much furniture or any rugs yet).

The Goldfinger 45 I tried was nice, but i preferred my XTC Classic. The SHiva 20th is supposed to be awesome, as is the XTC 20th...
-
I've heard the Goldfinger and I'm in love with the tones.

Maybe but it's much nicer to see the person playing & the rig...Thanks. Very nice tone !
-
Excellent stuff as always... it sounds awesome and the playing ain't too shabby either! 8)

Thanks guys, glad you liked it. I should have mentioned that I hardly played any guitar for almost 4 months. Relocation stress but also felt like I could use a break.
Now we'll get back to rehearsals for a band reunion one-off kinda gig in 6 weeks. It will be fun cranking this little bugger.
I think this is the best small package/lightweight multi channel with separate EQs, lead boost, loop etc equipped amp out there, for me anyways.
Carried it from House to car to house and 3 flights of stairs up today, damn I wouldn't wanna have done that with the XTC, but this amp has a real nice weight to it, well built but just bordering at the weight where it starts to be an effort lugging around.

That sounds great hunter :)

Thanks a lot tom, appreciate that. Not quite as cool as some of your GH50L clips yet, but I'm still dialing in ;)
-
Looking forward to hearing it mic'd and in a mix :)
-
Okido, here is that proper recording I promised.
Heil PR20 about 10" away on VERY low volume, KorgDL8000R in the loop. No EQ or post processing.
