Title: Wiring question, 2 hunbuckers 2 volumes 3 way and 2 slider series/parallel ??
Post by: Georbraham Linkington on August 31, 2011, 06:40:51 PM
Hello, wiring up 2 humbuckers 2 volumes a 3 way and 2 slider type switch craft on/on switches for series/parallel each humbuckers, anyone have a schem for that, of could please explain it? Closes I found was on Seymour Duncan 2 hum 2 vol 2 push pulls 3 way but I don't know if it's for series/parallel or slit?

Any help would be much appreciated! The pickups are a bk warpig bridge and a fender enforcer in the neck. I will show you guys how I turned a bk warpig into a fender wide range humbucker in return!  :D

I actually have a question for anyone that knows guitar wiring...

I out a bare knuckle warpig in the bridge, and a fender enforcer in the neck. Now the enforcer wide range edition is only 2 conductor but has a blatant jumper on the outside of the pickup with terminals. I wirered each pu to a switch craft slider switch for series parallel . Having the pickguarde off the body I tested it and the pig seems to be working right. I tap on it with a screwdriver and it's loud, I flip the switch to parallel and it's loud but a bit tinky which sounds right. I do the same switching the 3 way to the neck and in series it's loud and seems right, but when I switch to parallel it doesn't make any noise at all no response to the tapping.

I put my finger around to the output jack and hold it there to act as a ground, tap and it works, so it sounds like a grounding prob maybe? I triple checked everything, no solder dripping or connecting to switch chasis or such, maybe a bad switch?

I know I could test this by switch everything over to the other switch but I'm done for tonight, and I'd hate to do that, is there a trouble shoot that's easier, help me out fellas if you can.  :(
