Title: BKPs For A Schecter C-7 (7-String) Revisited
Post by: metalmaniac93 on September 05, 2011, 04:43:20 PM
I am revisiting this one again.  Can anyone give me some guidance on a which BKPs would be great for a Schecter C-7 (7-String) mahogany body/maple set-in neck and 26.5 scale?  The C-7 comes with a JB/59 and I find them lacking for the real heavy brutal stuff.  Not as tight and brutal as I would like even through an Engl Savage!!   I want something that is more aggressive in the vein of Nevermore and similar bands for the rhythms and also need a pickup that will work for lead playing too.   I use an Engl Savage, but will also have a Cameron CCV - 100 coming soon.   I know these would be the obvious choices: C-Bomb, PK, or MM.

I'd say Aftermath. Great for extended range and dropped guitars; it's tight, as well as articulate; and the mid range really gives it the perfect weight for playing leads as well. Painkiller is another great option too.

I'd say Cold Sweat as well. I play a 007 Elite, and play similar stuff to what you do and the Cold Sweat is what Tim recommended for me. (I haven't picked it up yet, but I plan too within a week or two)
