...and I'm very impressed :D
Great bottom end and midrange, it's just crying out for a cranked amp! Even at my modest-ish levels you can get a great tone. I play rock - think Foo Fighters, Darkness, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC - nothing too heavy, but the "meat" of this pickup is perfect for a big, full sound yet is still clear and not muddly. I can't believe how well it cleans up with the volume rolled off - that sounds superb too!
I think I might have to get a Riff Raff for my Gordon Smith SG1 now, and I think I need to try a Les Paul with Mules...
Has anyone tried a set of 'Pigs in a Les Paul by the way? I bet they're beef on a stick

oh dear - I think you have been infected - by streptococci bkpiucus - no cure, except to expand your collection of BKPs :D

Congrats! :)
...wait... Crazy Frog??? NOOOOO...

Nice one! Warpigs always struck me as a ME-TAL \M/  \M/ pickup, but from your description they sound hugely versitile. I played a GS once, it was a beast.

Yep, I can confirm that the 'Pigs are VERY versatile. I love a big meaty sound, and the Pig in my GS1 does just that.
Compared to my SG1 with the standard Gordon Smith pickup, the GS obviously has more grunt due to the pig. The basic sound is very similar though, so BKPs clearly let the guitar's inherant tone come throuh. Where the Pig scores though is adding clarity and removing brittleness. It's a fairly subtle difference, but once you notice it there's no turning back!

Glad you like your Pig. They're great pickups. Have you tried down tuning the guitar? It will blow your mind.

Not tried down tuning, but I play the bass E string on E chords at the seventh fret occasional. Gives you a similar sound to down tuning, and you're right it's evil
