First timer here and I hope to get some assistance in selecting new pickups for my Ibanez RGA7 (mahogany body, walnut/maple 5-piece neck, bound rosewood fingerboard). I like to play hard rock, blues rock and classic rock; and I'm looking for a voicing similar to an EMG 60 in the neck and an EMG 707 in the bridge. I've heard many good things about BKP's (through Sevenstring.org) and, perhaps, I can find something that will give me an alternative to active pickups.
Any and all suggestions are welcome!!! Thanks in advance :D!!!

Hmm te 707 is a bit of an odd sounding pickup as far as emgs are concerned.
I think its alnico but i dont know what to recommend as a replacement.
If you were asking about 81-7 / 60-7 i would say the miracle man set without a doubt.
What kind of tones are you looking to achieve? that would help narrow things down

Chord (distortion)-wise...Lacuna Coil or Disturbed. Cleans...Metallica (think pre-solo 'Master of Puppets,' or 'One.').
707's are Alnico.

hmm i would personally go for
A miracle man set or
MM bridge CS neck

Cool!! I'll have to check that out!!

The 707 is supposed to be the 85. The Miracle Man neck would get you close in the bridge.

Interesting, but, IYO, would a Holydiver bridge be just as good, even though it seems I'd be sacrificing some slight output?
Another ? Because of the 707 route in the RGA, would there be extra routing to be required?

Alnico Miracle Man (you can use the neck position one) would be a good alternative to the 707
