"Hi, I couldn't work out which looked worst, so I thought - why not try to make one that definitely WILL look worse..."

:/

My eyes :(

On this one I've to agree with Roo...

Would love it hanging on a wall as an art piece, not as an instrument to play.

I'd rather own a reverse V.

Oh man, that's a hard one...
I think I'd go with the reverse V too

I can't decide which one is worst. This or the reverse V. Both just ugly as hell!  :D

Yep - agreeing with Roo is an odd way to start the weekend, but I'm going to have to...

Yep, I'm in agreement with Roo. Being a Fender man the only consolation here is that Gibson will probably be giving serious thought to a LP/Explorer hybrid - just to beat those new fangled Fender upstarts.

It's... interesting?

Yeah, that sums up my thoughts too!

I'm intrigued by how they did the practical details like cutting the bridges in half, and that half-Strat, half-Tele bridge pickup.  Do you think the trem actually works?

Took me a while to notice the tiered headstock - that's rather neat.

Well done Cheggers, he looks pleased with himself.

I quite like it.

I have to admit that I quite like it too!

I have no desire to own one, I don't like it that much. I'm just kinda impressed with it and, like Philly, intrigued as to how some of the bits were done and will they actually work - eg the trem on three strings, etc. (On the surface it looks like it's a strat bridge pickup to me Philly)

I see it as a novelty thing, it's not attempting to be a "new" integrated design so it doesn't compete/compare with something like a reverse V. It's a "hey, I stuck two guitars together and it works!!" kind of thing thing. So, in my eyes, it doesn't end up "ugly" - it's just two halves of different guitars that I find attractive.

I am assuming it's a one-off, though. If someone's making and marketing them, then I think they're crazy f@ckers - even the people that "like" it (like me) are unlikely to actually buy it

Absolutely, I wouldn't dream of buying it!

Except maybe like Ben said, as a piece of "art" - and I haven't got that kind of money.

(Edit:  What am I talking about?  All my guitars are essentially just ornaments.  :|  )

fender hybrids are so in this year ;)   maybe not that one though.  i am also intrigued by the mechanics of it rather  but i cant imagine many wanting to play it

actually i do have another fender hybrid on the go myself -  a subtle blend of duo-sonic 1 and duo-sonic 2 :D

However, the body hybrid of strat and tele shape is big win for me!

Fender hybrids are a lot of fun, they do lend themselves to some cool mods.  I still like the look of those Pawn Shop models, I wonder how long they'll be available?

I have a Warmoth hybrid which might be interesting if I ever get round to making it ( ).  It's a typical swamp ash body, maple neck and rosewood board - but LP Jr shape (inspired by Fano guitars, basically).  I was originally going to put a Tele control plate on it, but now I'm thinking of making it more like a Tele Deluxe.

That is uglier than both the reverse V and the reverse explorer put together.

God awful creation
