Why yes, I AM going to play metal on this!
-
Not quite my thing, but that is indeed a very pretty guitar. Nice one :D
-
Its going to get Warpigged isn't it?
-
Looks cool to me! Like a blinged-up Hamer.
Probably got this wrong, but I thought Daisy Rocks had short scale length or extra-skinny necks or something, on the basis they're "made for girls"?
-
Too much bling for me, but pretty axe mate. You will score points playing metal on it. :)
-
Yeah, I like.
Love that shape....

The body is not for me (especially the wood or paintjob), but that fingerboard is amazing, even so amazing that it somehow makes the body look ok in the combination.
The thing as a whole seems nice...though I don´t know what I would use it for (other than fun grindcore).

Happy New Guitar Day!

+1 :D

I hole you have a gold lamé suit to go with that?

I don't, but I think I need to get one ASAP!!
-
was expecting a white Les Paul with stickers on pin ups on it...
-
..but then you learned that there's always room for it to get worse.

Thanks!
And you are btw. completely correct. Daisy Rock do market themselves as guitars for girls (it's right there in the headline on their website!), and the neck is a bit smaller than I'd like it to be. That said, the guitar itself is almost comically resonant and plays absolutely perfectly. It really was one of those "Hahaha, this thing is so tasteless I have to try it"-moments that turned into "Bloody hell, this thing is AMAZING!"

Speaking of "girls' guitars", I really liked the short-lived Gibson Goddess and Vixen models, but the slim necks were enough to put me off:

yeah, the neck is a LOT skinnier than I'm used to on this one as well. I'll just have to set the strings a bit high and take it from there. I don't like guitars that play too easily, I prefer having to fight them a little.

Ignoring specifics (like the colour, the wacky transparent pickups and the skinny neck of course), in concept it's pretty much my ideal LP - most of the standard features, but just simplified a bit with a wraparound bridge and one set of controls. Then make the body a bit thinner (if it isn't thinner already), add a bit of a belly cut on the back..... and an all-access neck joint
..... Perfect! :D
-
CRYSTAL LOGIC!.. I was there, that guitar is resonant as feth(hehe) and the neck is even shred(?) friendly because its so slim.
-
CRYSTAL LOGIC!
YYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Weird that this is my first post here but there's no shame in a Daisy Rock. They are marketed to girls but the build and materials quality is surprisingly high. And as far as DR guitars go that one is not too fugly :) Congrats on the new guitar.

Okay, gigged with it once so far, rehearsed a couple of times too.
The pickups are fine enough, but I think I'll change them.
Any ideas what it could be, other than war pigs, lads?
