Hey Phil, nice guitars!
I dread to think how much you pay on insurance for that tidy little lot!
-
wh.....how......wo.....!
where the hell do you keep all of 'em?????
-
Nice music shop. Whereabouts is it?
Seriously, that is an awesome guitar collection. I think you've got just about every base covered there.
-
Thanks everyone. I have been collecting guitars for over 25 years now. I have had the rosewood strat since 1983. I am lucky in that I have a room for them all, but they have to be in their cases in cupboards, so this was a great chance to get the all out and play!
-
phil how... HOW do you decide which ones to play and when!!!!!?????
if i had all them id probly just sit there and smile all day and not actually play anything.
-
That is a fantasrtic collection Phil. I hope you get decent discounts on strings.
-
Woah you have WAY too many nice guitars!
-
:D Like i said before you must of sold at least 1 Kidney !!! :P
Do you actually play in a band Phil or are you planning on recording any albums/Demos etc.
:D 8)

Phil,
What's the purple one? Not a PRS, surely, since it has a Wilkinson trem and a five way blade switch. A custom build, perhaps?
-
i think it said in the other post the purple one was a warmoth custom build.
wait just realised something.......... phil you said you got all your BK guitars out to play........that would suggest that you've got MORE GUITARS without bk's??!!??!?!?!?!? surely its not possible.....
-
You spoiled brat - LOVE your guitars dude and thats a sweet collection. nicely executed pics aswell. I've actually turned green with envy
-
lol looks like pics the police have taken at some sort of axe amnesty :D

I have a few more accoustics and bases...... and yes some more electrics too  As I said, I was buying guitars for a long time, I have had one of my Ovations for more than 30 years now.

Hi, it is a Warmoth with a rosewood neck and ebony fingerboard. It has a Fishman/Wilkinson bridge and a built in Roland synth pickup kit. It has the megaswitch 'P' model to give the PRS combinations on a 5 way blade switch. Mr Smith asked Warmoth if they would change the shape of the body a bit, but this is one of the original ones and fits in a PRS case perfectly!
-
Very nice collection there Phil, loads of nice guitars!
-
Very cool. I like the purple PRS hybrid.
My guitar tutor has a large collection too at www.lemon-grass.com
Most interesting is the Esquire that someone was trying to tell him was a step up from a squire. He paid about ten times less than it was worth in cash.
-
Phil,
Congrats for your incredible collection. Enjoy them!!
-
...and if you could only keep one, which would it be?
-
Mr Smith asked Warmoth if they would change the shape of the body a bit ...
So much more polite than bringing the lawyers in!
-
if i had those guitars the wife would have to make room for herself else where!!
-
so....the big question...
whats your favourite??
-
wow thats impressive. you have a rock star collection of instruments.

I could never just keep one!!!! As to my favourite, they are all very different. In the strats, I love the rosewood, but I have had it for over 20 years. In the Les Pauls, I think the 53 just wins over the Tobacco Sunburst, and in the PRS's, the Red Standard does it. In the others, the walnut is very special, and I have a 62 Tele, with original pickups, so that is my favourite there. Mind you, I am just waiting for Jonathan from Feline to fix up one of my necks. He is scalloping the fingerboard after the 12th fret, and putting 6000 frets in it, that will go on the flamed redwood, and I am changing the Nailbomb to a different BK humbucker, so that might become my favourite.
In the basses, I have an old Thunderbird IV that sounds great, but a friend (Will Scott), is building me a new semi accoustic 5 string to my design specs and his body shape. It is semi neck through (it ends at the bridge - not the end of the body) - the pictures here don't really show it too well, and it is still in the rough carving stage. The back and neck stripes are Purpleheart. It might well become my favourite!
I guess I am fickle - this is why I am on my way to a second divorce and have a string of failed relationships behind me - I always like to try new ones   :P
