New guitar day draws closer. Going back this time last year I asked Johnathan at Feline guitars to make me a guitar. I am a bit of a sucker for lot of different tones from one guitar so opted for a tabby hybrid.
Needless to say I love the look of it so far.
Anyway I got a few pictures of the guitar in production. Here they are:-
-
That neck and heel look AMAZING! I bet you're stoked!
-
Nice work fella - looks great!
-
Looks very cool! But the Silver sparkle Lion is awesome too!!!
-
Nice axe! The hybrid is very appealing to me as I play mainly strats and tele's.
-
Nice... very nice
What are the pickups, what sort of finish you going for? Etc, etc :D
-
The pickups are yardbirds in the bridge and neck and a mothers milk in the middle. The pickup selecting is going to be intresting. Three way switch. with the tone pot a push pull activating the middle pickup as well. The volume will be another push pull which will give the middle pickup on its own. All in all should give me lots of options.
The colour is going to be a black burst.

Four way switch!

Opps you are quite right!
-
Very nice. Love the recessed heel thingy.
-
Looks pretty good to me. Congratulations. I am looking forward to seeing the finished guitar.

Some better pix were in order before we strip her down and get her painted
NB - pickguard still has protective plastic on - will look better when peeled off

Somethings wrong, it's backwards!
I must say that neck is gorrrrgeous
:P
-
looks great i'm sure with the switching options it'll sound great too. Brent Mason the top country session player uses
a 3 pup signiture tele (valley arts) but uses a blender pot for the middle pup so it can be totally in or out or anywhere in
between which sounds like a cool idea too.
-
Very beautiful! I'm anxious to see it with the finish.
-
I have got some more work in process pictures. Got to be said it is looking tasty! Though I am more than a little bit biased.
-
Wow, that is one of the nicest bird's eye maple necks I have ever seen, and the contoured heel is a really nice touch as well. It would be awesome to see it when it's done!
-
Did Jonathan build the neck and body from scratch, or were those parts made somewhere else and he is assembling it? Because whoever made that neck did an excellent job.
-
Awesome! :) Love the birdseye!

Its all Johnathans work. He built it from scratch!

Not a birdseye fan myself, but I can appreciate it when I see it... nice one.
Fab, looking forward to seeing it with the finish :D
