Hello guys... I have recently installed a couple of BKP 550k pots in my LP ( see pic below ) and I am very happy with the results.

First I'd like to point out that the readings are very consistent... 540k ish for both pots. In that sense they stick to specs perfectly. Unfortunately, unlike the ones sold by stewmac and others, the shafts in the BKP CTS are made of aluminium instead of brass... what about the taper?

the superpot is kind of almost linear whereas the BKP is kind of almost CTS in the lower readings but from 7 to 10 there is quite a lot happening, not unlike the DiMarzio....
All in all I am a happy camper. The guitar sounds brighter and louder than before : that was expected as I moved from 470k ish to 550k ish. That extra 80k or so has made a difference. The taper is nice too... I am soon forgetting about the flimsy aluminium shaft
Hiughly recommended
