Just wanted to say that the Piledriver is a really cool pickup!
It's way better than I expected both in the distortion department and cleanish tones.
It can really sound like a great humbucker and handles distortion with no issues with great clarity and dynamics.
At the same time it's possible to get a single coil sound out of it when you turn down the gain but with a more stable low end.
It's not muddy at all and doesn't feel or sound overwound. It has more of a modern character than a vintage character.
Oh, I have a Don Mare S-Telly in the neck (6.3 kOhms "strat pickup in tele neck cover") and the Piledriver is louder but it works.
If you wanna turn your tele into a great rock machine that can handle clean through overdrive to high gain the Piledriver is the way to go.
If you want more of a vintage telecaster sound, look elsewhere.
Just wanted to share my thoughts. Hope it'll help someone.

I have had the pile driver in my tele for years now.... couldnt be happier, really sounds great for juicy rock sound and soloing and feels like there is a humbucker in there. I t holds that tele sound when its on clean too... but it just wants to be pushed and overdriven 8)
