I'm starting a home build soon and I'm going for a 80's hair style metal mixed with the modern nu-metal and a little bit of death metal sound. What would be the best pickups or mix of pickups to get a tone for that. Thanks guys!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I personally donŽt know which PU will best bridge such different styles...it will be hard anyways. Maybe a Holydiver...
But you could supply some more info to make it easier for people who can really give you advice.
Maybe you could tell us what woods youŽll be going for and which hair and nu metal sounds you prefer.
Oh and....weŽre gonna need pics of how the work is coming along ;)

Based off your description alone, I would strongly recommend the Miracle Man. However, it would be useful to have more info about the guitar-to-be.

I was actually thinking Nailbombs, but it's good to know in what kind of guitar/woods.

Sounds like an Alnico Nailbomb. But more info on the guitar woods would certainly help.

The body is most likely going to be swamp ash and the neck is going to be maple with ebony fretboard. I know my sounds are definitely diverse but the best way i could explain it is motley crue mixed with slipknot with a splash of bring me the horizon lol

That absolutely solidifies my recommendation of the Miracle Man

That combination can be very bright so something with Alnico seems appropriate. For the musical styles you specified that narrows it down to Rebel Yell, A-Bomb and Holydiver.

Normally swamp ash tends to be bright but not harsh, with slightly scooped mids. On the other hand I have a swamp ash guitar and that is a dark sounding one so it is not so easy to say which of the 3 pickups might be the best one for you.

That description screams Miracle Man to me too, glad Nolly also said it :)

I think i might do miracle man for the bridge and maybe holydiver for neck

I never thought the Miracle Man would work in a guitar that bright? i always thought it was aimed more to Les Paul type guitars :/ But trust Nolly: If he recommends the Miracle Man in the guitar you said, then your very much not going to be disappointed. He's had a lot of experience with experimenting with more or less every BKP in every guitar imaginable. He's helped me a great deal with deciding for my guitars :) (Thanks again, Nolly)

Would i be better off with a calibrated set of miracle man or do one miracle man and one holydiver and if so which should have which spot

I've had both a Miracle Man and a Nailbomb in my Swamp Ash LesPaul (now Nailbomb) and both "work" with that wood (mine has a mahogany neck and ebony fretboard). The NB is more vintage and warmer, fattening up the treble end, while the Miracle Man was a lot more aggressive with a great rhythm sound and lots of presence.
For aggressive styles I'd give the MM the edge over the NB.
