Title: How to clean a burnt chrome cover?

The Burnt Chrome cover on my Painkiller is getting blurred and tarnished. Can I clean it the same way as cleaning ordinary chrome covers without hurting the burnt color pattern? For example, can I use Dunlop cymbal cleaner? Thanks!

i just buff it a bit with a soft cloth and its worked fine for me for the last 5 years.

The only place its worn is the bottom corner where i rest my pinky
