I ordered one of these 2 days ago, Now I'm sitting here looking at the DHL package tracker pressing F5 every few seconds in the hopes that this will make it arrive faster.
-
You gonna play some Django on it?
-
I'm going to attempt to :)
It's now in the country F5 F5 F5 etc
-
Congrats and succes with the fingerbreaking Hot Club de France-style.
-
It arrived just in time for the fest I was attending.
It's much better than I thought it would be for the price, and it's remarkably loud for it's size.

NICE!
-
Very cool, I love the look of these. I can't play acoustic or jazz for toffee though!
-
Looks quite nice, hope you'll enjoy it. 8)
I once had a beat up to hell and back Di Mauro, was a quite cool guitar despite it's sorry state, but it was mostly gathering dust (I'm definitly not able to play jazz) so I sold it at a fairly low pric to a young Django fan that really deserved something better than the cheapo cr@p he was playing by that time. I'm glad it's now played by someone that really enjoys it (very talented guy, and very humble too).
-
Really loving it thus far.
@BigB
Di Mauro's are bloody gorgous imo he's a lucky guy.
been gasing after this for a while http://caravanguitars.com/guitars/1948-di-mauro-chorus-59/

Oh I like that. I occasionally try to learn some Django on my acoustic but I've never got close. Maybe I should give it another go. Lovely guitar, hope your Minor Swing rocks hard. :)

Mine wasn't near as beautiful - but still a minor piece of art, indeed. The point is, I had it for almost peanuts, barely used it, and the guy really deserved it. Nuff said.
-
Fair play to you.
@Andrew W
Thanks mate, the style's great fun to learn...once you get the accursed rest stroke down.
-
Nice one.
-
Very nice guitar man!

Found this vid of Joscho Stephan playing the same model of ~400 dollar guitar alongside a chap playing a 14000 dollar Beniditto.
Some brain melting technique going on up in here.

Not usually my taste but I'm so glad I watched that, far more amazing than 99% of the "shedder" clips I've ever seen.
And FUN!
-
Jeez, that's a literal shed load of talent in that clip.
Not usually my cup of tea but thoroughly enjoyable and humbling.
-
I love gypsy jazz and I loved that clip. Amazing playing and as Afghan said, it's fun.
-
Cheers for posting the link to the you tube clip. Great playing from the all. Looks a nice guitar you got too. Enjoy.

Agreed 100%. Fun, insanely fast but still musical. :D
(And thumbs up to the mandolin player - it's not often nowadays I see anyone who makes me look fat...)
-

Oh my. Djento, a new musical genre, where a Selmer-Maccaferri guitar is heavily processed through a Pod HD and songs like Nuages are played with all palm-muting. You heard it here first folks.
-
...I think that I may actually have to try this now....I promise not to post the results.
-
stunning stuff - always good to see musicians actually enjoying themselves. That has got to be the reason to pick up the guitar and play...

That chap Joscho and another guy ,Adam Palma, from this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ1-xJPcvRc are playing England later in the year for anyone that's intrested.
