hey guys i recently aquired a usa charvel trans kandy gold hss guitar. it is alder with a one piece maple neck. it is tuned to d standard. im more into heavy sounds like your boosted 5150's and modded marshall kind of tone. What set would you guys think would go well with this guitar? Since it has direct mounted pickups that i cant really adjust will that be a problem. The guitar has a jb and two seymour duncan stacked single coils all running off a 250k pot. i have 6 positions available with a push pull pot.

I reckon Holy Diver and Trilogies.

should i use a 500k pot to run everything, and since i have it custom wired by mike lull do i have to rewire everything for how bk runs everything ?
i put a picture of the guitar up...you guys think i could get away with any other color besides black?

There a HSS-wiring schematics in the section Support. I have my Fender HSS wired with 3x500k pots, but there are other forummembers who know a lot more about pots than I do.

Nice geetar!!
Would take that plastic off the bridge humbucker though :P
There are many things you could play with:
-Pickup design - colour, covered or not, etc
-Add a scratch plate
-Add a plastic frame for the humbucker
Why not get some inspiration here: http://www.usacharvels.net/board/viewforum.php?f=5
