Title: Looking for cheap Valve Bedroom Amp?
Post by: Nephilim on October 22, 2011, 07:50:19 PM
Just looking for something that I can plug into and solo over backing tracks/songs. Something that has a great lead tone, does good cleans and and provides a good rhythm sound. Only looking at spending a couple of hundred, so nothing special.

Orange tiny terror is the best I've played  . 15 watt to 7 watt switch is handy.

I looked at that, but it's a bit out of my price range unfortunately :(

Vox Little Night Train. Sounds very good going direct, too!

I saw one of those in a shop window recently.  It's amazingly tiny and cute - glad to hear it sounds good too!  :D

Look I know they get looked down upon in forums, but about 18 months ago I bought a Bugera V22. 2 channels, 22 watts, switchable triode to 13, effects loop, mid boost, reverb and light for a 1x12 at 38 lbs. I effing love mine, totally class vintage sound, it adores pedals, sounds amazing at whisper quiet levels and Thomann are doing them for £219. All the bugs have apparently been sorted. Fill yer boots mate.

see thread below for Laney Cub rants! About £220 for the 12R, less for the 10.
