From another thread:
" I've the Sultans set in a Strat I own. They're great too. The sound changed as the pickups settled in. It softened a good bit. I hope these PG's suffer the same improvement over time. "
Is this possible ? I swear I've had the same experience but wasn't sure if I was imagining it.

Magnets do weaken with time, indeed, but this is a rather long process and I doub't you'll ever notice it.

This may be nonsense, but I wonder if you subtly and unconsciously alter your playing style to adapt to the different sound of the new pickups compared with the old ones?
Or more simply than that, perhaps it's just a case of getting used to the sound?

Possibly both, but mostly the later IMHO. This and the incremental effect of slight EQ and pup setup adjustments...

When I started to BKP my guitars I had to get used to the enormous pickdynamics and superb stringseperation, even with loads of gain. I heard a much cleaner guitar with a balanced frequencyspectrum at the same amp- en pedalsettings. Now, I'm used to the BKP-dynamics and clearness. Btw, my VHII in my ashstrat starts to soften a bit, it's get rounder and rounder every day. Or, maybe I'm just getting deaf a bit. Could be on my age. :D
