Title: NAD - something appropriate for Halloween...
Post by: Twinfan on November 01, 2011, 07:09:15 PM
An Orange Dual Terror for use in the flat when I move "dahn sarf".  Very impressed, great little amp and a bargain second hand.  Sounds great through a couple of Celestion Golds, especially at lower gain settings   :)

Mrs Twinfan insisted on the pic:

Hmmmm, looks tasty. Will be interesting comparing this to my Bantam. Perhaps a speaker cab comparison could also be in order.

These are great sounding amps. Congrats by a fellow Orange-user.

Welcome to the family. The TTs in all varations are just so great and totally underrated. Itīs a real shame...

Btw, I find that the higher gain stuff sounds better when you push the preamp a bit more and not just turn up the gain. Itīs a balance but it makes the gainy stuff nicer for me.

Nice one!  :D  I do like the TT, I'd be interested to hear the Dual and Dark versions.

Really? If anything id say they are completely over hyped. Theyre good but some people make out that theyre the best thing ever.

And to TF how come you arent using the JC for home use?

Nice.  I've never tried any of the Orange Terror's.  In fact I don't think I've ever tried an Orange amp at all.
They always come accross like they would be fun to play.  I wouldn't mind trying the Dark Terror either.

Dave, a word on pumpkins at Halloween.  You are supposed to hollow the middle out and make a face :D

Yeah, that does happen too, but in my personal experience the TTs are dismissed quickly by guitarists and non guitarists alike before they can be turned on.

We went "alternative" this year, after the whole hog last year  ;)

It lives at my rehearsal rooms.  I use the AFD100 at home and will have the Dual Terror in the flat.

So which guitars live where?

Seems a shame to split them up, they're so pretty together.

All guitars live at home, as that's where they're insured, but the Signature will be travelling around the country with me.  It has its own insurance policy which covers it everywhere, so it gets to go everywhere!
