My Seymour Duncan Double Back compressor arrived this morning (used from the States). I've never a guitar comp before and I'm very, very pleased. The double back knob allows you to feed back a varied amount of the uncompressed signal and has three eq settings; full range, mid hump and high. Everything does what it should and in summary it's a very useful and musical device. I'll try and do a demo clip later.
Oh and these things sell at Thomann for £147, this one, which is mint, cost £69.95 including shipping. Unfortunately for the first time when buying from the USA I got caught for duty, only £4.21, but the post orifice took a further £8 "handling fee". Still that added it still only cost me £20 more than a Dynacomp.

Nice steal! I've only just brought out my compressor from the cupboard with great success and don't know how I did without it before (I use it more as a boost/ sustain pedal tho).
Congrats

Congrats with the new pedal! I have never owned a compressor before, but there's an Emma Electronics compressor up for silly money close by me so I'll might have to give it a shot.
Convince me that I should by it :D

I just watched a couple of demos of the Emma, basically Mr Air just buy it. It seems extremely transparent and having the ratio knob ups the game. I've had a great day messing with this thing. I spent an hour or more jamming with assorted tracks on Spotify and I've never heard my guitar fit in so well with the recording. I'd say a good compressor is a fantastically refreshing experience.

For anybody interested in compressors the following website is very useful. The guy only reviews compressors. There must be about 200 reviews here.....http://www.ovnilab.com/
