Just got these installed in a Gibson ES 339 and love em...this is my first experience with alnico IV magnets and with a mxied set containing AL IV & Vs...
First off I am aware of the...use your ears until they sound best adjustment method :) but would like to get scienntific for a moment if I may...
When depressed at the last fret and measuring at the low and high "E" strings what pickup heights do you end up setting the MQs at?
Thanks in advance!

Chow,
Don't have MQs, yet I did took the time to read your post just in case I could help one way or another, and it turns out that I can't. So now you do have at least one answer. Feel better ?

BKs are very responsive to height adjustment and I would guess (I may be wrong) that most of the folks on this forum don't go by any particular measurement to achieve the results they want. This may account for the lack of replies. Personally, I've NEVER measured the height of a pickup.

In general you can start at 3mm and adjust it to taste. Use your ears, you will hear the sweet spot.
